Every lease is sent out with a Move-in Fee Addendum. This addendum outlines our Move-in Fees. At MiddleTown Living, we do not charge a security deposit. Instead, we charge a cheaper, non-refundable Move-in Fee that is determined by the number of bedrooms at the property you are leasing.

The Move-in Fee is used for nominal wear and tear costs to the unit. It includes touch-up painting and general surface cleaning upon move out. Any repairs outside of normal wear and tear will be charged to the Lessee(s). This can include items left in the unit, extra cleaning including stains in the carpet, or any wall repairs or painting above some minor touch-up paint.

What does this mean for you?

The Move-in Fee is used upon when you move out to cover normal wear and tear to the unit. Anything beyond that could result in a charge. If the unit is left in good condition, no further charges are typically needed.
