In Section 1.2 of the lease, the lease terms are laid out, letting you know when your lease will begin and end. Your lease start date is the day that you will receive your key or code to move in to your unit, depending on the status of your account. You will not be able to move in any sooner than your lease start date, as we prepare our units in between residents. You can move in after your lease start date, but you will still be responsible for possession and payment on your move-in date, and you must inform our Resident Services department.

Your lease end date is the day you need to be moved out of your unit. You will need to vacate your unit before 12pm on the lease end date. We require that you inform us 90 days prior to moving out (referenced in Section 1.21). You are able to move out before your lease end date, but you are responsible for possession and payment until that date. You are also required to leave any utilities in your name until the end of your lease.

This section also details the amount of payments you will be making throughout your lease. Depending on the length of your lease, you will have equal periodic installments to pay in accordance with the late fee policy at for your unit.

What does this mean for you?

Knowing your lease start and end dates prevents any scheduling issues and fines when moving in and out of your unit. You will also be able to plan ahead and budget the amount of payments you will need to make for your lease if needed.
